Jozankei has many day-trip hot springs.
Jozankei Onsen is extremely popular, attracting 2.6 million visitors annually and known as "Sapporo's inner parlor."
One of the secrets to its popularity is that it boasts 56 hot spring sources, some of the most in Japan, and you can also enjoy four footbaths scattered throughout the hot spring town.
The spring water quality is sodium chloride spring. It is colorless and transparent with a mildly salty taste.
Its efficacy includes "nerve pain," "cold sensitivity," "fatigue," "skin diseases," and "hemorrhoids."
It's a small hot spring village with about 16 inns, conveniently located just an hour's drive from Sapporo city center. The valley views are also spectacular.
Here's a ranking of 11 day-trip hot spring facilities in Jozankei. Be sure to check them out before your trip.
