Drag durability further evolves.

The drag components that withstand intense runs employ Stella SW-specific carbon washers that are resistant to metal and abrasion. In addition to the drag washers previously located at the bottom, the spool structure has been evolved to allow larger washers to be mounted at the top.

This evolution improves drag durability.

The evolution of the drag structure and the synergistic effect with the mounted heat sink drag have also succeeded in reducing drag force loss due to heat by approximately 30% compared to previous models.

INFINITYLOOP

A technology that improves casting distance, casting feel, and drag smoothness by winding line neatly and precisely. There are three notable focus points. The first is setting the optimal line winding pitch for SW models. This model achieves a tighter winding by narrowing the pitch to about half that of conventional models. This provides a smooth casting feel and thoroughly suppresses line trouble. In addition, when the drag is engaged, the tighter winding reduces the number of times the line moves up and down, enabling smooth line payout.

The second is an improvement in the line winding shape on the spool. By re-evaluating the turn angle of the worm shaft, a flatter line winding shape is created, which tends to cause swelling at both the upper and lower ends of the spool, thereby reducing drag and line payout resistance, as well as reducing trouble.

And the third is the 2-speed oscillation system, which changes the line winding pitch during spool reciprocation. When the line is released from the spool ring side to the skirt side (downward), the finely wound line reduces release resistance and increases casting distance, while in the reverse direction, the coarsely wound line prevents line digging when the drag is high. This mechanism, carefully considered for SW models, brings further improvement in line release performance and trouble-free operation.

INFINITYXROSS

Gear strength and durability, the heart of SW, are improved.

Infinity Cross expands the meshing contact area between the drive gear and the pinion gear through advances in gear tooth surface design and manufacturing technology. By dispersing the load on the gear tooth surface, it prevents damage due to concentrated stress and improves durability. The 25 Stella SW has increased this tooth width by approximately 1.3 times compared to previous models. This allows for smooth gear feel to be maintained even under higher winding loads.

ANTI-TWIST FIN

Suppresses unpleasant line trouble.

By installing fins close to the line roller part to suppress line slack, line dropping onto the spool skirt part is reduced. Elastic material is used for the fins to prevent damage when winding knots.

Fin B, which creates a gap as before, is also included.

AR-C Spool

The AR-C spool contributes to suppressing line trouble and improving long-distance casting performance by creating a line rectification effect through a special shape of the spool ring. The 25 Stella SW is equipped with a new AR-C shape that improves the spool ring color to a shape that makes it difficult for the line to ride, reducing line crossover on the spool which can cause line trouble.

In addition, in SW games, the spool ring is subjected to unexpected loads under harsh conditions. The surface of the spool ring is treated with a strong wear-resistant barrier coat, further improving durability. It also reduces damage to the line and maintains a smooth surface for a longer period.

X PROTECT & X SHIELD

Impenetrable waterproof structure.

Seawater intrusion is a threat in SW games. Seawater that enters the reel corrodes metal parts and significantly degrades initial performance.

The Stella SW blocks water intrusion routes by sealing various points, including the body, drag knob, and line roller. In particular, the body and stopper parts have achieved IPX8 in waterproof performance ratings. This provides high reliability and durability in the harsh conditions of SW games.

In addition, by reviewing the waterproof structure, we have achieved even lighter rotational performance while maintaining waterproof performance. We have realized the conflicting elements of high waterproof performance and silky smooth rotation.

X-Rigid Rotor

By using aluminum alloy and meticulously verifying wall thickness placement through repeated 3D analysis, we have achieved even stronger rigidity and durability, as well as excellent rotational balance. This high rigidity also contributes to improved performance of various parts, including the drag.

High-Rigidity Arm Cam

To enhance rigidity, a metal arm cam, similar to the rotor, is installed. It transmits the power of Stella SW without distortion during high-load line retrieval and drag operation. The metal plating treatment maintains a smooth surface for a long period, reducing damage to the line.

Stella SW-Specific Line Roller

The surface is treated with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) to reduce friction and prevent line wear. In addition, a contact-type waterproof seal is installed to block seawater intrusion into the line roller part. This protects the internal bearings from harsh environments, improving durability by more than 10 times compared to models without this feature.

High-power model for big game and deep water jigging.

Gear ratio 4.8, maximum winding length 99cm. A high-power model that can pull in large fish. The handle length has been extended from 75mm to 80mm, the same as the 14000 size, allowing for even more reliable handling of unexpected large fish.

Optimal for casting. A versatile high-gear model.

This model has a line capacity of PE 5-300m, a gear ratio of 5.6, and a maximum winding length of 116cm, making it suitable for a wide range of fishing. It is ideal for casting games for tuna and amberjack, where small plugs are often used, as well as rock shore games targeting large fish and offshore jigging. The handle length has been extended from 75mm in the previous model to 80mm.

14000XG

Standard model for big game casting.

An XG model boasting a capacity of PE 6-300m. Equipped with an extra high gear ratio of 6.2 and a maximum winding length of 134cm, it supports aggressive attacks. Ideal for big game casting targeting everything from amberjack to GT and tuna.
