【Drag durability has evolved further】

For the drag components that bear the brunt of violent runs, we have adopted metal and wear-resistant carbon washers exclusive to the Stella SW. In addition to the drag washers conventionally placed at the bottom, the spool structure has been evolved to include them at the top, allowing for the installation of large washers with approximately four times the surface area of the previous model.

This evolution improves drag durability.

Through the synergy of the evolved drag structure and the equipped Heat Sink Drag, we have also succeeded in reducing the decrease in drag force due to heat by approximately 30% compared to previous models.

Overwhelming stopping power that suppresses with force while smoothly following the fish's pull, combined with unwavering durability. This drag, which fuses flexibility and rigidity, is the proof of the Stella SW's existence.

【An oscillation system thoroughly thought out exclusively for SW】

The Infinity Loop improves casting distance, casting feel, and drag smoothness by winding the line in an orderly and dense manner. Well-thought-out mechanisms such as optimal line winding pitch settings for SW models, improvements to the line winding shape when line is taken into the spool, and a 2-speed oscillation system that changes pitch during spool reciprocation bring further improvements in line release performance and trouble-free operation. This benefit translates directly not only to a steady casting feel and increased distance but also to smooth line release in vertical jigging. Even under high-load conditions such as complex currents or heavy-weight jigs, it suppresses line digging and snagging, quickly sending the metal jig to the target depth. Furthermore, after a hook-up, it maintains stable drag force with minimal fluctuation in line tension to suppress the violent pull of monsters.

AR-C Spool

The AR-C spool contributes to suppressing line trouble and improving long-distance casting performance by creating a rectifying effect on the line through its special spool ring shape. The 25 Stella SW is equipped with a new AR-C shape that improves the spool ring collar to a design that prevents line from riding over, reducing line jumping to the spool which is a cause of line trouble.

In addition, in SW games, the spool ring is subjected to unexpected loads under harsh conditions. The surface of the spool ring is treated with a powerful anti-wear barrier coat, further improving durability. It also reduces damage to the line, allowing the smooth surface state to be maintained for longer without being easily scratched.

Further improvement in operability with a newly designed drag knob

The Stella SW, with refined details in every part, features a drag knob with a diameter increased by approximately 25% (*) to further enhance operability. It not only makes it easier for your hand to catch the knob during instantaneous operation, but also makes it easier to handle fine adjustments. It provides an advantage in the action of tightening or loosening the drag in an instant when a big fish is hooked.

The intrusion of seawater is a threat in SW games. Seawater that enters the reel erodes metal parts and significantly degrades initial performance.

The Stella SW blocks water intrusion paths by applying sealing in various places, including the body, drag knob, and line roller. In particular, the body and stopper sections have achieved the IPX8 standard, which evaluates waterproof performance. It brings high reliability and durability in SW games played under harsh conditions.

Also, by reviewing the waterproof structure, we have realized even lighter rotation performance while maintaining waterproof capability. It achieves the conflicting elements of high waterproof performance and silky rotation.
